VILT was founded in May 2002 by 3 ex VPS (Vignette Professional Services) Senior Consultants in Lisbon, Portugal. Founded by ECM experts, VILT was naturally meant to be a company specialized in ECM, aiming to create innovative ECM solutions and services that would bring more value to te customers.

Motivated by the experience of its 3 founders, VILT became Vignette's Services representative in Portugal and as a result of having delivered several sucessful projects using Vignette tecnology, VILT was very soon recognized by Vignette and the customers all over Europe as a company of ECM experts, particularly using Vignette technology. From 2002 to 2005 VILT has been working very closely with Vignette (as the preferred subcontractor in southern Europe), being involved in more than 50 ECM projects all over Europe during that period, growing exponentially in resources and revenue.

Meanwhile, VILT was also developing skills in other technologies, particularly in J2EE, Open Source solutions in ECM Space and some products of EMC.

During 2005:

• VILT starts working as an independent Vignette Partner - and no longer as a preferred Vignette sucontractor - and starts to offer ECM services and solutions using other technologies than Vignette, gaining more visibility in the ECM market.
• VILT officially creates an R&D unit, starting what today is RealTimeBiz platform.

Between 2005 and 2007 VILT kept growing steady with particular strength in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, besides, of course, the Iberian market, where VILT was a natural leader.

During 2007:

• VILT opens an office in Madrid (Spain) due to the high customer demand in Spain, incorporating another ex Vignette exployee - with more than 8 years of experience in the ECM World - as a manager of the Spanish subsidiary.

• VILT creates offically the a new business Unit: the Support Team, starting to provide 24x7 Platform & Application services, which have been a huge success.

VILT keeps growing in a very solid way. Today we count on a team of more than 50 highly qualified ECM experts, divided beetwen Lisbon and Madrid offices and offer a wide range of ECM Solutions and Services, as well as our own Products.
